It’s World Book Day on Thursday and after a lot of thought and consideration about
the meaning of the day,
the cost and pressure on parents to buy or create costumes
and other upcoming trips and events in our school diary
we have decided that we will NOT be asking children to come to school in fancy dress.
Instead we would ask that children bring their favourite story book to school and to wear their PJ’s or Onesies so that they can read in comfort. £1 donation per person would be appreciated as the ECO Council would like to purchase prizes for their Make Ballycruttle Litter Free Poster competition.
We will have a day filled with fun reading activities and all children will receive a book token which can be used to purchase a book in selected book stores.
