UNISON Art Competition

1st Apr 2021

 Dear Principal

ENTRY DEADLINE FOR UNISON 'ALL WE NEED IS LUNCH ART COMPETITION' EXTENDED TO FRIDAY 30th APRIL 2021

Due to popular demand, and to enable more children and young people to participate following their return to the classroom after Easter, the deadline for submission of entries to the UNISON NI 'All We Need is Lunch Art Competition' has been extended to Friday 30th April 2021

UNISON has launched a new ‘All We Need is Lunch’ Art Competition for all children and young people in NI up to the age of 19*.  We are encouraging parents, schools and youth organisations to engage with children and young people and to support them to use the visual arts (a drawing, a painting, a poster, a photograph or a collage) to explore what school meals mean to them. For example,

  • What is their favourite thing about school meals?
  • Why is nutritious and healthy food important?
  • Why do they think school meals should be free?

Please click on the following links to access competition leaflets targeted at parents, schools and youth organisations https://bit.ly/3bZY7yy and younger children https://bit.ly/3kRBbpf. The UNISON website www.unison-ni.org.uk/art-competition also contains other materials including a downloadable Certificate of Achievement for the young artists who participate.
