Fionn shortlisted as a finalist in the Michaela Foundation Wings Awards

The Michaela Foundation Wings Awards are all about Awarding young people who are motivators within their local community. Celebrating those determined to fly. They could be someone who:

  • Has went above and beyond for their local sports/music/drama group
  • Sacrifices their time to help with youth/church/elderly
  • Works tirelessly to fundraise
  • Is a young carer
  • Inspires others to get involved within their community
  • Shines in a particular area
  • Has overcome adversity

Fionn was nominated by Mrs Porter for all the fundraising he has completed for Action MS over the last five years amounting to a grand total of £8286.

Fionn's family have been contacted to say that the Michaela Foundation have completed their shortlisting of commendable entrants in each age group and have decided that Fionn is one of their finalists. All finalists in each age group will be invited along to the awards ceremony online to celebrate all their achievements.

At this event, the three award winners will be announced in each age group category. Winners will receive a cash bursary of £250.

We are so excited for Fionn and wish him the best of luck as a finalist. We have our fingers and toes crossed for you Fionn.

Thanks also to all the staff and pupils as well as everyone in the whole school community who supported Fionn over the last five years, helping him to raise so much money and gain the prestigious prize four years in a row of 'Top Fundraiser'. You all deserve a well earned pat on the back.
