The Red High PFA contacted me with a list of question and answers for parents in relation to the Development Proposal for the new proposed Voluntary Grammar School.
We are a Category A school. Category A schools were defined by the Trustees/CCMS as those within a three-mile radius of the proposed new school, or those for whom the proposed new school would be the closest Catholic managed school. There are 13 schools in Category A
The Development Proposal states that the opening date for this school will be 1 September 2022 or as soon as possible after that date. In theory this means the current Primary 6 pupils will be the first group admitted to the proposed new school. Pupils from Category A schools are eligible automatically without academic selection.
