The Department of Education has issued new advice for schools and families:
The PHA guidance relates to the revised arrangements for the identification of close contacts in schools. The letter from the Chief Medical Officer on the same issue is for the attention of schools, parents and pupils. The PHA has also provided a warn and inform letter that schools may issue at their discretion if they become aware of a positive case in a cohort of pupils. These documents will be published across a wider range of media today. To help to ensure parents are aware of the Chief Medical Officer’s letter in the coming days, you are asked to circulate his letter to parents at the earliest opportunity.
