BBC 2 minute tales comptetition
BBC Northern Ireland is proud to launch this year’s Two Minute Tales short story writing competition for children aged 5 – 16.
Full details are included in the attached document.
We would be delighted for your pupils to get involved in this project which encourages and promotes creativity and literacy.
Stories must be no longer than 300 words and the theme this year is ‘A Winter Adventure’.
Teachers can submit single or multiple entries at once via email or via post by filling out the appropriate PDF form or submit using our online uploader - having first obtained permission from parents or guardians.
They must also agree to the competition rules and read the privacy notice before submitting entries.
The deadline for submissions is 8pm on Friday 11th November 2022.
We would also encourage you to feed information on the competition back to parents/guardians who can also submit stories directly via the Two Minute Tales website or email
or via post.
Information on the competition can easily be shared on your school’s social media platforms using this link:
We look forward to reading stories from pupils at your school.
Thank you,
The Two Minute Tales team
