Hello,

Thank you for registering your school to take part in AWARE’s children’s mental health poetry competition! Today marks the beginning of Children’s Mental Health Week and we will be using this week as an opportunity to start conversations about mental health with our young people, particularly after such a difficult year.

As well as this, we have also officially launched our children’s mental health competition – Express Yourself! You will now be able to submit your entries to the competition by clicking this link and uploading your files in a PDF, Word, JPG or PNG format.  Please note: we will permit up to 2 entries per school.

Submissions will close at 4pm on 26th February 2021.

After submissions have closed and we have read all the amazing poems, we will be in touch to let you know if you have won a prize! Please keep an eye on our social media channels too as we will be providing updates there. You can follow us on Facebook and Twitter @AwareNI, Instagram @aware_ni and LinkedIN @AWARE.

We have also shared an exciting video with the amazing Joel M who will be judging the entries! You can check it out on our Youtube by clicking here.

Don’t forget, by taking part in the competition you have the chance to win some AMAZING prizes for your class and winning pupil including a chance for the winning pupil to learn some of the top tips and tricks about magic from our friend and social media star Joel M, a personal visit and performance from Joel M for the winning school (COVID regulations permitting), a limited edition AWARE x Joel M Hoodie, a free 6-week Paws B Mindfulness course delivered to the class of the winning pupil, and Amazon vouchers!

We can’t wait to read your poems, good luck!

Team AWARE.
