Anti Bullying Week

10th Nov 2020

Week beginning 16th November is Anti-Bullying week.

Anti-Bullying Week 2020 is happening from Monday 16th – Friday 20th November and has the theme ‘United Against Bullying’. In Northern Ireland it is coordinated by the Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum, which is based at leading children’s charity the National Children’s Bureau. They have worked with their sister organisation in England, the Anti-Bullying Alliance, to develop a theme this year with over 300 young people.

The class teachers will be talking about Bullying this week and will focus on:

 • How to report bullying.

• That they can talk to us about bullying if they are worried about it.

• We are here to listen!

• Our anti-bullying policy.

Odd Socks Day

This year we are holding our first ever Odd Socks Day with the support of the Anti-Bullying Alliance and Andy Day, cBeebies star and front man of Andy and the Odd Socks. It is a chance for all schools to celebrate Anti-Bullying Week in a positive way by asking pupils to wear odd socks to school. There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or buy expensive costumes.

All your child has to do to take part is wear odd socks, it could not be simpler!

Odd Socks day will take place on the first day of Anti Bullying Week, Monday 16th November, to help raise awareness for Anti-Bullying Week. Some children forgot today so we are inviting everyone to continue this theme all week.

There is also an Anti Bullying week

creative competition which your child may be interested in. See the following link:
